Alyssa Rosales, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor
Meet Your Counselor

Hi, I'm Alyssa Rosales

Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S)

I'm a wife, mom, and Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. I was raised in a Christian home, where I learned about the truth of God's Word from an early age. Through my own life experiences and struggles, I've also come to see firsthand the power and effectiveness of Scripture in bringing understanding, direction, and hope.

Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, facilitate group counseling, and serve individuals and couples in private practice. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people navigating a variety of struggles, life circumstances, and seasons of change.

My desire is to provide a compassionate, Christ-centered space where you can work through life's difficulties while being encouraged to look to God's Word for wisdom, hope, and direction.

My Heart for Counseling

More than managing life's difficulties.

I believe counseling should go beyond simply managing symptoms or finding ways to make difficult circumstances more comfortable. Our struggles matter, and they deserve to be approached with care. But they also invite us to consider deeper questions about what we believe, where we find our hope, and how God's truth shapes the way we live.

My goal is to help you approach those questions honestly, understand the patterns and challenges you are facing, and consider how Scripture speaks into your everyday life. I want counseling to be a place where you are heard, encouraged, and pointed toward the lasting hope found in Christ.

My Approach to Counseling

God's Word is the foundation, not an afterthought.

I approach counseling from the conviction that Scripture is sufficient and authoritative for understanding God, humanity, and the struggles we experience. Rather than treating faith as something separate from everyday life, I believe God's truth speaks directly to our thoughts, emotions, relationships, choices, and circumstances.

My clinical education and counseling experience inform the way I understand and work with the challenges people bring into counseling. However, Scripture remains the primary framework through which I seek to understand those struggles and encourage meaningful change.

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (ESV)
What I Believe

My Statement of Faith

My counseling is grounded in the truth of God's Word and shaped by the conviction that all of life is lived before Him. These foundational beliefs inform how I understand people, suffering, relationships, and the hope found in Jesus Christ.

God

God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

1 Timothy 2:5; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as the substitute for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. He is our High Priest and will return as King.

John 1:1, 14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit reveals Christ, convicts the world of sin, brings new life to those who believe, and indwells and seals every believer. He equips the church for service and produces spiritual fruit in the lives of God's people.

John 15:26; John 16:8; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:16–24

The Bible

The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is God's inspired and infallible Word. It is the final authority for what we believe and how we are called to live. Its truth is sufficient to guide us in knowing God and pursuing a life of faithfulness to Him.

2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 19:7–11

Humanity and Sin

Every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent worth and dignity. Yet all people have sinned and fall short of God's glory. Because of sin, every person is in need of the grace and salvation found in Jesus Christ.

Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23

Salvation

Salvation is the gift of God's grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His death and resurrection, Christ provides forgiveness and reconciliation with God. Those who trust in Him are made new, declared righteous, and kept secure in Him.

John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ, with Christ as its head. All who have placed their faith in Jesus belong to His body and are called to gather with other believers, grow in faith, serve one another, and make disciples of all nations.

Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Matthew 28:18–20

Marriage and Family

Marriage is established by God as a covenant between one man and one woman, intended to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church. God created humanity male and female, and His design for marriage and sexual intimacy provides the foundation for the family.

Genesis 1:27–28; Genesis 2:18–24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:31–33
